Orson Welles' Grandson in Montana

By March 4, 2010

Follow me on:

This is one documentary I've got to see. Suppose you're the less-gorgeous, less-likeable sibling forever overshadowed by your popular football star brother.

Who then becomes a stunning lesbian and comes back to Montana for a high-school reunion and some family reckonings. Meanwhile, you have a terrible accident that leaves you brain-damaged and prone to horrifying outbursts.

Then you find out that you're the biological grandson of Orson Welles and Rita Hayworth.

It's not a ridiculously bad attempt at fiction. It's bizarre truth, and the compelling story of Prodigal Sons, a documentary by Kimberly Reed, one of the family members.

Maybe a double feature with Citizen Kane?

Now THAT’s an interesting turn of events. Or twisted. And scary, if you’re that guy. Orson Welles and Rita Hayworth. Wow

I’m just starting my own Classic Movie blog, but so far, I haven’t managed that sort of gold. Maybe in time…

In a recession, this is likely a hoax to rip-off the estates of Orson Welles and Rita Hayworth. Unless they have DNA proof, I don’t believe this.

I worked with Marc, just one look at him and you do not need DNA. He resembles his grandfather very closely.

I just watched this documentary and knew right away why Marc felt the way he did his now sister Paul/Kim, was the one who always needed to be in the spotlight, this movie proved it, Marc was the straight guy trying to live a normal life after his tragic accident and to keep the memories dear to his heart, in the meantime controlling Paul/Kim is basically trying to control Marc and his actions of trying to remember the past, the good times and just trying to keep his head straight, in a family, that as the old saying goes “BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR”, boy did this family get it from every angle, tell Paul/Kim to get over herself, and let Marc have his memories and now he has discovered a new found family history from Orson Wells, that as I can tell Paul/Kim was a bit jealous of. Best to Marc.
