Elvis at 75 - A TCM Marathon

From Laurie Boeder, About.com Guide   December 30, 2009

Turner Classic Movies will celebrate the 75th anniversary of Elvis Presley's birthday January 8th with a marathon of Elvis movies.

I have to say that as an actor, Elvis was great singer. Most of his movies were dreck -- enjoyable, campy dreck, but dreck nonetheless.

For those of you who can't get enough of The King, no matter how he's packaged, TCM offers up former wife Priscilla Presley and longtime friend Jerry Schilling to chat with host Robert Osborne, and a long lineup of films, starting at 6 a.m Eastern.
6 a.m. Harum Scarum (1965)
7:45 a.m. Kissin' Cousins (1964)
9:30 a.m. Spinout (1966)
11:15 a.m. Roustabout (1964)
1 p.m. Girl Happy (1965)
2:45 a.m. Speedway (1968)
4:30 p.m. Blue Hawaii (1961)
6:15 p.m. Viva Las Vegas (1964)
8 p.m. Elvis on Tour (1972)
10 p.m. Elvis: That's the Way It Is Special Edition (2001)
Midnight: Jailhouse Rock (1957).

Uh, thank yuh. Thank yuh very mush.
