Roku Getting Good Geek Reviews

If you just can't wait for that old red envelope to show up in the mailbox, Netflix's new set-top box for on-demand Netflix movie plays is getting solid reviews.

Apparently, you can browse the movies and select them on your computer - if you've got wireless and can be in the same rooom as your TV - and then use the remote to tell the Roku what you want to see. Access to 10,000 movies, so plenty of tasty classics, no doubt. And it makes it easier to get the movie you're in the mood for, not the one you just happen to have on hand.

Sounds like this is part of what the future looks like for classic film buffs - although my mom will still have to wait for the red envelope. The woman doesn't have a computer, and she doesn't want one...and there are days when I envy her!

Here's nice roundup of reviews on netadvisor.com.
