In a surprise twist to the auction of Sam's famed piano from Casablanca last Friday, it turns out that the new buyer is none other than Django Unchained star, Leonardo DiCaprio.
Selling for just over $600,000, which was well under the expected $1.2 million, the piano is now co-owned by DiCaprio and wealthy philanthropist Stewart Rahr.
Famous for Dooley Wilson playing As Time Goes By to Ingrid Bergman, the piano is expected to be donated by DiCaprio and Rahr the piano to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
