Having already made its traditional U.K. release last month to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Dr. No (1962), the 23rd installment to the classic spy series, Skyfall, will finally arrive in U.S. theaters this Friday, Nov. 9, 2012.
Already a massive hit overseas, Skyfall has been praised by critics as one of the best films in the entire series, while Daniel Craig - the sixth actor to play James Bond - has been hailed as a true successor to the original 007, Sean Connery. Even Roger Moore hailed the film following a private screening and proclaimed Craig to be the best actor to have played Bond.
In Skyfall, Bond investigates an attack on MI6 by a former operative turned villain, Raoul Silva, played by acclaimed actor Javier Bardem. Judie Dench returns to play M for one last time, Naomie Harris takes over as Miss Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw makes his debut as Q, Bérénice Marlohe plays main Bond girl, Sévérine, and Ola Rapace rounds out the cast as Silva's main henchman, Patrice, a French assassin with a love for violence.
