Kelly's HeroesHere are a few suggestions for what to watch on Turner Classic Movies this week...

On Monday, TCM focuses on Otto Preminger movies for most of the day. Make sure to check out Frank Sinatra and Eleanor Parker in the director's stark drama about drug addiction, The Man with the Golden Arm (1955).

Tuesday night showcases two all-time classic holiday movies, A Christmas Story (1983) and Miracle on 34th Street (1947).

On Wednesday, John Huston's The Mistfits (1961) airs during the day, while night owls can be sure to see John Ford's World War II classic They Were Expendable (1945), starring John Wayne and Robert Montgomery.

Thursday features two great films, Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest (1959) and Mike Nichols' Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966), starring Elizabeth Burton and Richard Burton at their acidic best.

On Friday, Marlon Brando stars in his defining role as the brutish Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire (1951), while Elizabeth Taylor shines in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958).

Of course, the weekend typically sees the best films aired. On Saturday Humphrey Bogart stars in High Sierra (1941) and The Caine Mutiny (1954), while Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas and Donald Sutherland can be see in Kelly's Heroes (1970).

Sunday will feature three Sidney Poitier movies: A Raisin in the Sun (1961), Cry, the Beloved Country (1952) and Lilies of the Field (1963), for which he became the first African-American to win the Oscar for Best Actor.
