The new year brings a new stamp in the U.S. Postal Service series "Legends of Hollywood," this one a spectacular publicity still of an incandescent Katharine Hepburn.
The stamp puts Hepburn alongside other Hollywood greats, including Jimmy Stewart, Bette Davis, Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant and Humphrey Bogart, among others.
The still, taken by famed tinsel town shooter Clarence Bull, was taken to promote Woman of the Year, one of Hepburn's movies with longtime love Spencer Tracy.
In addition to the Hollywood release, others to be honored by stamps this year include Mother Theresa, baseball's Negro Leagues, cartoonist Bill Mauldin and early screen cowboy Tom Mix.
