TiVo Alert - Wholesome Family Classics on TCM
Crank up the nostalgia meter. Turner Classic Movies is runing a boatload of beloved family film classics from Disney - the live-action stuff, not the animation - that so many of us grew up with.
We're talking Swiss Family Robinson, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Pollyanna. A bunch of the Kurt Russell fun fests like The Computer Wore Tennnis Shoes.
The Absent-Minded Professor with Fred MacMurray and his flubber. The Shaggy Dog. The Love Bug.
It starts Sunday, December 7 and goes through every December Sunday, including the 28th. (Sundays are especially nostalgic for me. That's when we kids got to eat in front of the TV like heathens and watch The Wonderful World of Disney. Bliss.)
They're also premiering an original documentary, The Age of Believing: The Disney Live-Action Classics, all about how the studio branched out from animation to live action. I'm soooo there.
