Tyrone Power Tribute at The Egyptian
Thursday November 6, 2008
American Cinemathetique plans a tribute to ravishing matinee idol Tyrone Power November 14-16 in Los Angeles at the fabulous Egyptian theater.
On tap is the cult classic Nightmare Alley, along with The Razor's Edge, Love is News, and of course, the indelible Mark of Zorro.
A star from 1936 until his death in 1958, Power was a genuine Hollywood heartthrob. I love this quote from British romance author Barbara Cartland:
"We didn't need sex. We had Tyrone Power."Hat tip to Maria Ciaccia, who helped put the tribute together, and also happens to be About.com's guide to General Hospital.

I am possibility the most passionate fan of TYRONE POWER and I want to thank you for doing so much to
put together the tribute to him last year! How can we get his major pictures on TV. Like “RAZOR’S EDGE”,Nightmare AlLEY” “BLACK ROSE” etc. You seem to have so much influence, I’ve tried but have gotten nowhere! Also will be another dedication for him this year? would love to hear from you. Alma Trappolini
