Michi-ganders at Marilyn Monroe
Tuesday October 14, 2008
This looks like great fun. The Saginaw art museum just opened an exhibit about Marilyn Monroe, featuring photos and modern art on the subject of her "Life as a Legend."
They've got her wrapped by Christo, dotted by Lichtenstein, hobnobbing with Mickey Mouse and Chairman Mao, and of course, rendered in the Warhol lithographs.
We just never seem to get tired of her face, her image or her legacy. This looks like an exhibit that's playful, yet respectful of her memory. Nice.
