Here's a great way to waste five minutes and eight seconds. It's a time-lapse video of an artist sketching an extremely good likeness of Humphrey Bogart, fedora, upturned trench coat collar, smoldering eyes and all. Usually, time-lapse puts me in mind of those lame nature movies we had to watch as kids, but this is remarkable. For someone who can't draw anything more complicated than a stick figure, this is a fascinating look at the process a real artist uses to produce a realistic portrait with nothing more than pencil and eraser.
