From a Blank Page to Bogart

Here's a great way to waste five minutes and eight seconds.

It's a time-lapse video of an artist sketching an extremely good likeness of Humphrey Bogart, fedora, upturned trench coat collar, smoldering eyes and all.

Usually, time-lapse puts me in mind of those lame nature movies we had to watch as kids, but this is remarkable.

For someone who can't draw anything more complicated than a stick figure, this is a fascinating look at the process a real artist uses to produce a realistic portrait with nothing more than pencil and eraser. And of course, it's Bogie!
