TiVo Alert - TCM's 31 Days of Oscar Already Underway

Yikes. One of my favorite TV events kind of snuck up on me this year. Turner Classic Movies is already several days into its 14th annual "31 Days of Oscar" programming. If you gapped it out like I did, don't worry, there's still plenty of great classic movies coming up.

They're doing theme days, like "love and kisses" for Valentine's Day, and westerns on the 19th. They've also got salutes to actors and directors -- Katharine Hepburn, Alfred Hitchcock, Cary Grant, John Wayne and more.

Some of my great faves are sprinkled throughout -- Ben Hur, Some Like it Hot, The African Queen, Stalag 17, Sergeant York and of course, Gone with the Wind.

So mosey on over to the TCM schedule and get your TiVo warmed up. It's all part of the lead-up to the Academy Awards on the 24th.
