Great Movies in LA this Month

The American Film Insitute continues showing its 100 best American movies series at the Arclight in Los Angeles, and this month features some great films.

I love Billy Wilder's bittersweet love story The Apartment. Also on tap this month are Close Encounters of the Third Kind, just celebrating its 30th anniversary; El Cid, and my favorite black comedy of all time, Dr. Strangelove. "Gentlemen! You can't fight in here! This is the War Room!".

As much as I love being all cozy at home waching great old movies on DVD, sometimes there's nothing better than seeing classic movies the way they were meant to be seen -- on the big screen.
