A Classic Movie Tribute to Mom: El Cid

Those sweet Weinstein boys, Harvey and Bob, are starting a new line of high-end DVDs to honor their mama, called The Miriam Collection. First up is the lovely, lush El Cid, starring Charlton Heston and Sophia Loren. It should hit the store shelves at the end of January.
It's a great big, over-the-top Hollywood take on the life of a real-life Spanish knight who drove the Moors from Spain in the Middle Ages. Chivalry! Battles! Horses! Hot-blooded stars!
It looks like The Miriam Collection will feature not only classics, but foreign films and modern favorites as well -- no doubt to reflect Miriam's eclectic taste. Such nice boys.
