TiVo Alert - Hitchcock Week on AMC

American Movie Classics favors us this month with a whole week of Alfred Hitchcock in prime time, starting with his masterpiece of voyeurism, the tense Rear Window, on Sunday, September 16th, and including The Birds, Vertigo, and of course, Psycho.

It's a great romp with a radiant Grace Kelly as a New York fashion goddess, a cranky Jimmy Stewart as an action photographer laid up with a broken leg, and Thelma Ritter as his visiting nurse, cracking wise.

British mag Total Movie just picked Hitch as the top director of all time, and even after all these years the Master of Suspense can still grab you and hold you rapt. The man could tell a story!
